Speaker 0Welcome in to the two-of-the-point home services VIP room. Where we invite you, the listeners in to hang alongside some of the biggest, baddest and most successful VIPs of the home services industries. You never know, it's the prize guest for show up next. So let's get this party started.
Speaker 1It's up to the point listeners, it is your boy, and it is exciting day here in the two-point studio because things are looking a little bit different around here like I've been telling you, and it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. You might know somewhere in my fancy Johnny Cash shirt because I love Johnny Cash. And you know, he thinks it's all in called Walk the Line. There's a movie I've got about Walk the Line with walking Phoenix, awesome movie, big Johnny Cash fan. I feel like, you know, it's how I've always lived my life as I've always walked the line, you know, always been transparent and you know, and one thing I've said for for years is one of the best gifts that I've have is I'm a super connector of people and I love that I know so many people in the industry, the OGs, you know, my best friends, my, you know, my buddies, my all the different guests, the different contract, so many walks of life and you know, always wanted to do a podcast. a little bit different like we're going to do now. And if you grew up in Indiana, and we still have this radio show in the mornings, we listen to, called the Bob and Tom show. And it's syndicated across like 147 different radio stations. So you might have even heard of the Bob and Tom show. And then unfortunately, Bob could go in one of the OG hosts of that, just passed away recently. And he's actually, who inspired Pat McAfee to do his show, which is a cool fun fact. And I love the Pat McAfee show and the style of that. Um, we just got his buddies on, you know, and then, and then, and then they have, uh, you know, always bring on random guests and things like that. And I want to do something like that too. So I wanted to change it up a little bit and make it more of that feel. So we're still going to do a lot of educational stuff on this podcast, but I want to do it through a little bit of a different lens. So. I thought is, you know, me and some of my closest friends, I'll just throw some names out. You probably already knows, but some of my closest friends, you know, Tommy Melo, Chaputerman, Aaron Gainer, Ken Goodrich, Chris Hoffman, Ishmael, you know, Tom Howard, Dave Geiger, Lee Linsmith, Frank Demarco, Kenny Haynes, obviously all kinds of fantastic contractors. And we have so many great conversations we're together. Like if we're at Pantheon together and we're all sitting in a circle having conversations I love it when other contractors walk up to our group and start asking questions and everybody gets to participate. It's such a fun moment for all of us when we love doing those types of things and it's even better to do it together when we're friends. But the thing I want to do is I love that style so what the podcast to be very much like that. But I also love it when you just never know who the hell is going to show up. that's entertainment. Like who's going to pop on the podcast today? And I always loved that style on the Bob and Tom show is you always kind of knew that Bob and Tom and Chick and Christie Lee were all going to be like, they're going to be on that episode every day. But you just never know who was going to pop in. Whether it be a, you know, it was there in there, in their instance, a musical guest or whoever, you know, an actor, I want to be the same here. So we wanted to turn this into the point home services VIP room. And we want to welcome you, the listener, into the VIP room with us, to be a part of it with us, to have all the experiences with us. And not just when we're at a big industry event, every week when we do this podcast, And we've got some even bigger plans are going to come along after even after this change, which will be great for all of you. And you know, since now that I'm unemployed, and I have exited right now, you know, and that's now we're in four months outposts to be exiting and I just want to learn my thumbs a lot. I'm going to pour everything I've got into this podcast. And I want to bring as much of you into my world and with my friend group as possible, if you'll let me. And that's what we're going to do with this podcast, man, is exactly that. Six years, it was time to just change it up a little bit. Now, the fun of this thing will be, is I'm going to give all of my friends. This big group of friends, the link to this episode, to pop in whenever they want. They can pick a time. I don't care when they pop in, who pops in, who the guest is? I mean, we have Sugar A Pop on here. You know, it might be one of the sponsors that we let pop on as a co-hosts. I just wanted to be like you're sitting in the VIP room with us, having conversations about the contracting world, the wins, the losses, the downs, the everything, and you be a part of it with us. So we're going to start doing some more live streams and things like that where we can have But that's what this is, to the point home services VIP room is now what you're experiencing and I'm excited to bring it to you and excited for what's going to come from it. And I'm excited for our first guest, now the very first guest I actually ever had in the beginning when Michael host was tall Paul was kind of rich. But you know what? I think you might even hear a tall poll pop back into this thing every once in a while. I know he's been wanting to do it too. But I'm excited to just have you never know who the hell's going to show up on this thing, but it's going to be one of my friends. And you know we're going to pull the best out of whoever the guest is that we're interviewing. And we're going to probably have a little bit of a banter and bussy-chillers chops. But I think it's going to be a lot of fun and educational and well worth the 45 minutes to an hour that you take to listen to this podcast. And then who knows what else stems from this? Maybe we start doing some more on site, on site podcasts. You know, kind of around the United States and welcome people to it. Who knows? I don't know. Yeah, world is my oyster. But I'm so excited and to finally be here and in this moment. And the coming episodes over the next week or so, we have some great guest lined up. You know, we always hear this from, it's the same people frequently. And there's a lot of really great contractors out there, North at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 million that are independent that we don't hear from very often. And I was just out of meeting a few weeks ago over in Beverly Hills with a bunch of contractors which they had no business being Beverly Hills. Shout out to my good friend Rusty, Rusty Kalkin from, Founder over at we care. Good friend of mine invited me over to a group of his buddies in their peer group of 12 contractors all big players Most of them independent and I said guys I'd like to bring you on as guests hear your stories and where you're at currently why you're still independent what you're doing with it what you how you're scaling the problems you're all the real world stuff I just want to do it with the room full of my buddies asking questions from their perspective so it's not just me it's not just chat or it's not our newest permanent co-host my good buddy Mister Aaron Gainer from And he's going to miss the very first episode because he's out of town. So now Chad gets to pass the baton to Aaron for missing the first episode. We're going to record where he is the new coast. So we will never let him live that down. And neither should you listen. Neither should you. But it's going to be fun to have his perspective too. He's pushing $100 million over in Ohio. And he's got his own perspective. We all have great conversations just about business in general. And I think you're really going to enjoy just being into our world and living in our VIP room with us having these normal conversations. Because I want you to be a VIP too. And this podcast allows you to be just that. And I'm grateful for that you continue to listen to the podcast. Thanks for hanging on. We're pumping a bunch of money into this thing to really scale it and make it something super special across the home services industry as a whole. And the plan for the future is pretty cool because there just might be a few more podcasts that focus on different specific niches that we add along the way to help you to or whatever you want to be. I want to be that resource for you. And I'm committed to doing just that. Now that I'm unemployed. Or unemployable. or self-employed, fuck it, call whatever you want. I got a lot of time on my hands so this podcast is gonna be my baby and you are my focus. So welcome to the two-the-point home services VIP room. I am honored to have you as my guest moving forward. I hope you enjoyed this journey with us. Let's new fun journey. I'm probably going to learn a lot of shit along the way on what I shouldn't shouldn't be dealing with this episode, but you're going to come right along with me on the journey. But the one thing we are going to do, or sure, is we're going to have a lot of fucking fun. We're going to have some good times, and we're going to learn a lot of new shit about these contractors, what's going on in the home services space. We're going to challenge people. You know, we're gonna challenge their thought processes. All the normal shit that you would hear if we're sitting at Tommy's house and the bar having conversations or at my house and the bourbon bar having conversations just about the contracting world or at a pantheon for home service freedom or whatever event that we're sitting around talking to other contractors about. No bullshit, no masks, no nothing, it's just raw. live normal conversations with me, my friends, and now you, our friend, the VIP room. And so I'm excited again for it. I'm excited for all the content that's coming in and we welcome you reaching out to us and hey man, I really love for you to have so and so in the VIP room. Well, hey, I really love you to talk about so and so or this thing, and the VIP room, please reach out to us and share those things through the podcast page. She don't have our Facebook page or Instagram page through our YouTube channel. Any, you fucking pick one. Text me, email me if you want to be a podcast at christiano.com. It's pretty fucking easy to name the member. But reach out to me and give me your feedback. I want to share as many things as I can. And the last thing I'm going to change up, is I've, you know, I'm still obviously a huge believer in the mantra in those zero, no zero days and saying it for a long time, more than six years since we've had the podcast. But something that's kind of been on my mind as of lately and I'm using this podcast as an example is have these big plans I want to do. Do you think bar stool sports has created all this big, you know, network of podcasts? Well, I'd like to do this. Anthony and home service and that's exactly what I'm going to do. because they're ain't nothing to it, but to do it. And that's exactly what I'm gonna do for you, the listeners. I love you. I'm excited for this next journey and I'm so thankful for you to come on with me. Welcome to the Home Services VIP room.
