Aaron Gaynor is an entrepreneur, tradesman, and the Founder and CEO of Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians, one of Ohio’s fastest-growing home service companies. His path to building a major home services organization was anything but straightforward. Aaron entered the trades after high school, earned his contractor’s license at just 23 years old, and started his first plumbing company.
When the 2007 financial crisis hit, Aaron’s commercial plumbing business collapsed and he ultimately filed for bankruptcy. Rather than leaving the industry, he used the experience as an opportunity to rebuild from the ground up. After studying environmentally conscious plumbing practices and emerging technologies, he launched what would become The Eco Plumbers, with a focus on water conservation, energy efficiency, exceptional customer service, and building a company designed for long-term growth.
What began as a plumbing company has since expanded into Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians, providing plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical services across Ohio and Kentucky. As the organization grew, Aaron continued to invest in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople, opening Eco University in January 2021 as a dedicated training facility where aspiring professionals can learn the trades and build long-term careers. Today, the organization has grown to more than 430 technicians and support staff, with training and career development remaining central to its continued growth.
Aaron has become known throughout the home services industry for his approach to vision, leadership, branding, data, and disciplined growth. His experience taking a business from failure to significant scale gives him a perspective few operators have: he knows what it feels like to lose a company, start again, and build the systems, team, and culture required to grow something much larger the second time around. His approach has also earned national recognition. In 2026, Aaron was named an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® East Central Award winner.
