Speaker 0Hey, what's up to the point home services VIPs, you know, I'm usually pretty chipper guys, you know, but unfortunately, I have some pretty shitty news to share and I wanted to share it with everybody. And that is a few weeks ago, I found out that I got diagnosed with throat cancer. So, uh, which is not ideal when you're a podcaster and you have to talk a bit. So not ideal, it's scary, it's all the things that you think when you hear the word cancer. But the good news is it appears that this is a very beatable version of cancer. It's going to require radiation and chemotherapy like all the things that you here. My kids want to know if I'm going to be losing my hair. Well, I don't think I am. There's still a lot of unknowns right now. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to continue to work out every day. You know, I got a specific amount of protein every day trying to keep my health up. That's important. Thankfully, I'm in the most healthiest I've ever been. So like in a shitty situation, at least Um, most of you guys know me. I'm not a Quitter. So I'm going to fight with everything I got to beat this thing. Um, but again, like it could be worse. It could be a way worse version of cancer that might be is not untreated. So, um, I just was at an anti appointment this morning for a follow up and asking them. How long is this process going to take? I guess it's roughly six to eight weeks of radiation every single day and chemotherapy sprinkled throughout. And they said, yeah, your throat's going to hurt. So my plan is, is just hopefully they give me some good pain medication, and I'm going to be doing some of these podcasts on pain medications. So we'll see how that goes. But, You know, the best plan here is just to be optimistic, right? Like, it's a shitty situation, but it's a beatable situation. And I've always lived my life kind of on the record and been open and transparent. And I feel like, you know, do I want to share this or not share this? It's going to be, you know, it's going to be pretty easy for you to see that I'm battling something. So I thought, like, let's just open it up and let everybody know. I mean, we've been on this journey for six years so far. So, This is just another chapter in the book of Cristiano. And they've got two great co-hosts. So for whatever reason, like I can't make an episode because my throw it's in bad shape. Well, then I've got chatty P&AG to help carry us through. And I'll tell you what, man, some of the best things that I love hearing in these situations are as I love hearing from our listeners. That's so preplifting. But it's just a moment, right? It's a moment, and I'm going to get through this no problem. say well, like I said, it's, uh, I got, I got a long, I got a lot of stuff I want to accomplish still on this podcast and things I want to do with it and scale it and grow it to help all the contractors and I'll be damned from a little cancer come in and try and fuck that up. I'm not. So anyhow, I just wanted to share it to you guys. Like I said, not the most uplifting conversation, but again, the good news is, yes, I have cancer. It's in my throat, which is not ideal, but it's a very treatable version of cancer that has a high percentage win rate. We're talking in the 70% to make it five years which is when you are technically in remission. So if you've ever dealt with it, you kind of know, I know that Chad has dealt with that and with his mom and his family. But I have all the best support in the world. You know I'm getting the best doctors. I can get to make sure I'm good to go. That way I can be here for you guys nonstop. So don't let this bring you down. I'm not letting them bring me down. Just join me in the fight with the words of encouragement. Continue to listen to podcasts and share it with all your It is what it is, but we'll live to fight another day. And that's all I can ask for. So I appreciate all you VIPs. See ya.
